Miniatoura Chania

Miniatoura, which means miniature in Greek, is a tiny bar, located on the popular and rather busy Chatzimichali Daliani street, in the old city of Chania.

Reason to Go

I like the music in Miniatoura. Though it depends on the day, quite often you can listen to some really nice indie rock tunes. Besides the music, another reason to visit Miniatoura is its size. It’s so tiny that it can never look empty and if you’re a small group of friends — 3, 4 people — it feels as if you’re having a private party in a bar. If the latter happens and your music taste is similar to what is being played, it’s possible that the barman/owner/DJ will be happy to play some of your favorite tunes, if you ask him.

You could also visit Miniatoura early and sit at one of the few tables that are outside. As it’s located on the picturesque Chatzimichali Daliani pedestrian street, you’ll also get the chance to watch the many passersby.
