Bel Ray

Bel Ray is an all-day café-snack-bar located in the Koukaki neighborhood, which is situated south of the Acropolis museum. It used to be an auto repair shop and still has industrial elements, like the high ceilings and large windows.

Reason to go

It makes you feel at home. It has a really inviting, original atmosphere and is not pretentious in any way. Maybe one reason for this is that it is frequented by locals, though not exclusively. Bel Ray is ideal if you want to work on your laptop and be in a friendly environment. You can munch on delicious snacks and sip drinks while chatting the evening away with friends. Keep in mind that it doesn’t stay open late, by Greek standards, and closes at 2 a.m. on weekdays.
