Romantso

Romantso is a cultural hub; a bar/café/exhibition center and creative space located just a bit off Omonia Square with atmospheric retro/industrial decor. They organize exhibitions, gigs, parties and other events. Romantso is the Italian word for romance, a name that they have kept from the days when the building was used as a printing house.

Reason to Go

Many interesting events take place at Romantso. For example, you could stumble across a comic exhibition or a film festival. Some of the pictures below are from an “Electric Live” of Lee Ranaldo (Sonic Youth) with video projections from Leah Singer that I had the pleasure to attend there a couple of years ago. They frequently throw parties and organize DJ sets. I really like the space and the industrial architecture; high ceilings and minimal decor. I would recommend anybody interested in these kind of events to check the website (there is a version in English) for upcoming events.
