Alexandrino
Alexandrino is one of my favorite spots in Athens. I find the atmosphere really cute and romantic, as it resembles a French Bistro. I really like the music: the tunes are chosen on the spot by a DJ and lean towards jazz, which gives a romantic element to the atmosphere. It has a family atmosphere and a loyal clientele which gives me the feeling that many of the customers are somehow acquainted with each other.
Reason to Go
I would say it combines friendliness with quality. It has a relaxed atmosphere and it is a great place to go to if you want to chat with a friend over a nice glass of wine. It is a favorite of the Athenian Bourgeoisie; it is quite possible you will encounter artists and intellectuals hanging out there. It has a few tables outside and a few tables inside, which sometimes makes it difficult to find space to sit.
A glass of wine starts from 4 euros and for some very good wine brands, you will pay 5-6 euros per glass.
