Tsin tsin

Tsin Tsin is a bar located in the broad area of Exarcheia. It gathers interesting crowds in their mid-20s – 40s and at times has been frequented by some artists and actors.

Reason to go

The main reason I visit the place is for their interesting, almost unpredictable, music selection, similar to the one you would listen to a house party. On occasion, I’ve heard David Bowie, Madonna or Percy Faith. Expect upbeat, borderline nostalgic, cult 80s-2000s pop and rock that will make you want to dance.

It may be a small bar but its vibes give you the liberty to express yourself and dance freely to your favorite tunes! To give you some idea, it is the only place where I’ve ever danced a waltz, or at least made an admirable effort to! Also, although this may be an exception, on several occasions when there were few people left, the DJs were open to some of our music suggestions. There is a waiter/waitress, and the service is generally good. Drinks start from 6,5 euros.

Bonus detail: In the bathroom, you might find sanitary napkins, mouthwash, and the vintage cologne, Myrto, which my grandfather used to buy.

Photos were taken on a Monday. You could encounter a lively environment there on some weekdays, even though it’s usually more crowded on weekends. If you go on a busy day, it’s best to go early (for Greek nightlife standards) in order to find a place to sit or stand.
